Completed in 2017  this property is located in the Duchy Estate in Harrogate, North Yorkshire.

 

The owners of this garden wanted a garden designed to complete their new extension that was practical for their children to play in. 

 

A smart dark grey slate patio that wraps around the house has been created offering plenty of space for entertaining.

We provided a child friendly evergreen garden on the back with pleached trees and hedges to reinforce the layout of the garden, enchasing the privacy and offering a good structure throughout the year matching the architectural style of the building.

 

A sunken trampoline and a play house were installed for the children to play.

​

The site was challenging with lots of different levels, so an upper terrace was designed using grey slabs.

 

A double retaining wall supports the terrace, with a level grass area was created for children to play with a second terrace at the bottom in a sunny spot for parents to enjoy.

The retaining wall was finished with a grey stone to match the colour of the roof.

Spot lights were fitted around the borders and the bottom terrace so the garden can be used in the late evenings.
